There is this odd trend
of taken women
saying they are too much,
and how the men they love
are amazing for dealing with them.

Love should not be a responsibility.
You should not have to deal with me.
Just because a woman is wild
and free
does not mean she is difficult.
He is not a martyr for loving me
through the good
and not so good.

Some mornings I will wake up swinging,
you do not get a gold star
for still loving me.

Some mornings I will wake up like a lamb,
you do not get a gold star
for loving me.

I am not a hurricane of a girl,
you always have the chance to leave.

Since when did these throw overs become labelled as kimonos? This is just appalling, and such an insult to real, traditional kimonos.

I left this as a comment: “THESE ARE NOT KIMONOS. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ONE LIKE?? THESE ARE UGLY SHAWLS MADE FOR GRANDMAS TRYING TO GET IN STYLE BACK IN 2003. PLEASE STOP.”

If there is anything I have learned in my short 23 years of life it is that there is no point in changing yourself to make other people happy because chances are in the end their wants will have changed before you have.

I feel this is very important.

It’s been apparent to me for a while that most men can’t really imagine “equality.”  All they can imagine is having the existing power structure inverted.

I cannot decide whether this shows how unimaginative they are, or shows how aware they must be of what they do in order to so deeply fear having it turned on them.
